Not really that good...
I don't quite understand why people find this game scary, or that "awesome" overall. First of all, it was way too short. Second, a "scary" game, isn't "scary" when you're invincible;
You get pierced by a spear-thing twice, the screen glows red, nothing more. The thing on the bridge you cross in the beginning, I walked into it several times, until I barely couldn't see my character, still not dead. And I don't think even Wolverine from X-Men heals as fast as he does. And I tried to avoid the dark pits, trying not to fall... but I failed, I falled... no, wait... you couldn't fall!
Also, the girlfriends voice and dialogues pretty much blows the small excitement that is there. The game loses it's atmosphere every time she enters the scene. "I didn't really need those internal organs anyway"? riiight... not to forget the sprites when they suddenly speak...
It's also way too easy (d'uh, you ARE invincible), just run up to the tail of the thing, bash a little, other than that... just walk and listen to people speak. The game kept me half-entertained for about 5 minutes, and three of those minutes were spent listening to people.
The graphics though are nice, and pretty original, it was a long time ago I saw such a layout in a game.
Ultimately, the hype is not to be believed... if you're not a paranoid person who freaks when you open a door, and sits in the dark with your speakers on max volume, you won't get scared from this game... Hell, watching "Days of our lives" is scarier than this... literally.
Still, I have to give you credits for the graphics, and the idea wasn't bad, just pretty much reused. The creatures weren't too original if I say so myself...
So, better luck next time. And I hope I can give you a more postitive review on the next installment of "Neverending Light".
